As Eri Kitajima, a caregiver, is returning home from work at night, she is attacked by a hoodlum in the street but then rescued by Junichi Yoshida, who happens to be passing by. This chance meeting starts a relationship between the two. Eri, who lost her parents at an early age and spends her days alone, and Junichi, who lives seriously but is stressed constantly by his work, are quickly drawn to each other. But Misaki Ninomiya, and elderly woman whose care Eri supervises, has doubts about the relationship. Before long, despite Misaki's concern, the two begin to live together. Then one day, Eri orders delivery for dinner and this causes Junichi's attitude to abruptly change. He suddenly shoves Eri and shouts at her to make dinner right away.
